Description:

Often, a particular assignment can prove especially challenging for a student. Maybe it is a tough geometry problem, or a passage from a classic poem or even an entire essay. These situations, rather than serving as engaging exercises, become frustrating.

That is where I come in.

I believe that reading, writing, math and computer education are all fundamental skills that students must posses. Unfortunately, few get the hands-on attention they might need to address very specific needs. I am a college educated student and teacher with an M.A in the Teaching of Writing, who has also completed a minor in Computer Science. I have two years experience in teaching college-level students how to read and write critically and effectively. I also have two years tutoring experience in the University writing center. All of these have taught me to help struggling students find their voices and the solutions to their educational hurdles.

My rates are based on meeting times and traveling, but I believe you will find them fair. $35 per hour is my base rate.
