Description:
Victor Olavarria has been teaching drum lessons professionally since 2007. He has experience teaching all ages, levels, and styles.
A graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, where he majored in Professional Music with a concentration in Performance and Private Studio Teaching, Victor was fortunate enough to study with many master drummers including Mike Mangini (Dream Theater), Rod Morgenstein, and Dave DiCenso.
Victor’s teaching method combines technical exercises with the study of different songs so the students can see how the techniques they are learning apply to different musical situations. In addition to learning songs, transcriptions of the tunes are provided to help the students with their reading skills.
Rates:
$30/half hour
$42/ 45 minutes
$55/hour
All first lessons are a free half hour so you can decide if Victor's teaching style is right for you.
